The Hush Sound has been one of my favourite bands for nearly two years now and I can honestly say they’ve never disappointed me. They’ve gone from strength to strength and they have excelled themselves with this album, ‘Goodbye Blues’. The two songs they chose to share with fans before this was out, ‘Honey’ and ‘Medicine Man’ are perfect representations of the album; so if you’ve heard those two and like what you hear, don’t be scared about buying the rest of the songs because you won’t be let down. The album is a nice mix of upbeat songs and ones that can sing you to sleep. It's melodic and quite jazzy but still modern. One thing I will say though is that because Greta’s voice has grown so much it means that there are only a few “Bob songs”. Not to say that I don’t like her voice, it sounds incredible but we can only hope that in the next album they bring out we will hear more from Bob. I’m sure The Hush Sound isn’t to everyone’s taste but in my opinion, musically and lyrically this album is near to perfect. They’ve come so far since their ‘So Sudden’ days and I can’t wait to see what they come up with in the future.
